Random thoughts and topics that pop into Lui's mysterious head.-- crowzfx --

Tick tock. GONG. If you're really lucky, cuckadoo; typically followed by a 'what the f was that!'. If you can tell already time is the topic.
We all live by it. We all are shaped by it. It controls all of us. Every. Single. One. Of. Us!
Conceptually the thought of an invisible ticker is what everything this gigantic, sophisticated blob of organic matter, Earth, revolves around is just astonishing. You don't know it or are to naive to believe it but our race, the human existence, life as we know it is controlled by this invisible clock. Be it if you're 8 hours behind in say Cali or 1 hour ahead in Berlin (i'm GMT if you can't tell) we all follow suit. This is not all. I want you to think of this next question and I mean seriously have a think about it,
'Where's the reset?'
Ha. An on/off switch, where is it? How do we go back? Can we pause it? When did it start? And for you intuitive thinkers from a young age, pushing the boundaries of the education system, excelling far beyond the 'expectations' you may have asked one of those questions (okay maybe just the on/off switch one was just me), but you were probably fed an answer that even the person telling you didn't believe. The truth is no one knows!
Considering the exponentially growing advances in science and technology today and how far we've come in the 21st century we are still no closer to answering any of those questions. Yes, you'll have some of the physics nuts like me out there spewing about certain principles like Schrodinger's cat, or about the cluster-fuck of a thought being intertwined that Einstein, the great man himself, and his theory of relativity, concludes that 'gravity can bend time'. Re-read those last 4 words; and again, just once more.
GRAVITY CAN BEND TIME. Think of the attraction force that keeps your feet glued to Earth, the force keeping your coffee on the desk, the force stopping your car from floating away into the atmosphere, can then manipulate the mysterious concept that is of time. Think about all the shit Einstein must of took back then for his damn right genius thoughts, theories and experiments which must of been laughed at in a time like that; but underpins such core, fundamental and well-established principles of science that we know and use today.
Quite frankly, that is a marvel in itself, the mix of skill and talent coupled with enough wackiness to prove the neigh-sayers, the 'profound' academics not to mention the limits of science today, is just outstanding and I tip my metaphorical hat to each and every one of you who have and do play a part in it.
... Back to the topic in hand. Time is a juxtaposition in itself. How can it be so simple yet so damn mind-fuckingly confusing at once? Its concept to us as humans vary greatly, as to some it's the matter of making a meeting, or to others whether they turn up for their date as planned or even for some, counting down to when they can leave work (if this is you, you need to get a new job!), what i'm saying is; we all have our own concept of time, a timeline of events personally mapped to us and our own philosophy of how we interact/use our time. Ladies and Gentlemen, how and why that exists is a fundamentally underpinning concept of life, is just another mysteriously unanswered question that'll have to float around for decades until some light is shed.
So until then, tick tock.
