Trains. Small, dinky ones to gigantic freight trains. Built for what's desired. Engineered for speed and efficiency. The fact they can shovel more than a 1000 people hundreds of miles in less than an hour at an average of 100+ miles per hour; is just crazy.
From a wooden wagonway like back in the 1560's to a system that was developed by private railway companies during the railway boom of the 1840's right through to what we have today. Interlinking opposite ends of cities and countries to make almost any journey possible. That is just nuts. Like to think about 70 or so years ago you probably could go from A to B unless you trekked it for weeks on end, to now you pay a little money to just sit in warmth, somewhat decent seat (depending on your train line) and usually with a plug socket too all travelling at around 120mph.
An engineering feat that has vastly helped anything and everything in the world today.
Right, enough of the marvel it's time for some grit. The one thing that royally fucks me off on trains is manners. People lose their brain when they step on a train. Like you cough, put your hand over your mouth, you sneeze you put your hand over your mouth. Simple shit, common sense and not to mention just simple fucking manners. Like for real, did your mumma not teach you them, she'd be ashamed of yo ass! Countless times on a weekly basis do I tell people to put their hand over their mouth or cough away from our general direction, but people are just nasty!
I could keep going all day; which would just be boring so sod that. Back to the point in hand, trains are something that has allowed us to live our lives, go places we never thought possible, do things which before was seen as the equivalent to climbing a mountain; but you can now do it in a matter of minutes and not weeks!
... oh and remember your damn manners 'ya filthy animal' - if you get that partial quote I respect you for it!
